The Procedure

  • Check-in:  We recommend arriving 5-10 minutes prior to your appointment to ensure enough time for the consultation and prepping phase.

  • The consultation

    • Complete client health history form

    • Before photos will be taken of your brows

    • We will discuss your current brow shape, any concerns, and what your goals are

    • We will choose the best pigment color for your hair and skin tone

    • We will explain the healing process

  • The brow area will be cleansed and disinfected

  • Numbing cream will be applied and left to sit for 20 minutes to take full effect

  • Next, we will map the brow area into the most flattering shape for your facial features.  This will be done with a colored wax pencil, so adjustments can easily be made if you would like to alter the shape.  During the mapping process, you will be in full collaboration with your artist until the desired shape is achieved.

  • PMU is done while the client is lying down. You will be offered a freshly laundered blanket and made as comfortable as possible throughout the process.  The highest level of sanitation will be practiced throughout the procedure.

  • Once we get started, we will alternate outlining and shading one eyebrow at a time.  While we work on one eyebrow, the other will be numbing to ensure you are as comfortable as possible.

  • Each eyebrow will need several passes to completion.  The entire process can take about 4 hours.  PMU requires precision work and patience. However, it normally takes less than 4 hours. It depends on how long the consultation and mapping stages take.

  • Lastly, we will take your after pics. Your PMU Artist will give you a special product to apply to the area you received PMU, and discuss post-care in detail. That information is listed under the ‘Post-Procedure Care Instructions’ page in case you need to refer to it at any time. Always reach out with questions or concerns if they arise.
