The Healing Process varies by individual, but here is what you can expect, all of which is completely normal:

Days 1-3

  • Your brows will look darker and thicker, as a scab begins to form. This scab will resemble the heavy peeling of very chapped lips. It is not the same as the scab you may get from scraping your knee, where it gets brown, bloody, and thickly crusted over.

  • Your brows may feel a bit sensitive or sore

  • The skin around your brows may appear reddish from the irritation of the procedure

    Days 4-5

  • Any redness should be reduced

  • The scabs that formed will begin to flake and peel off in random, patchy pieces (DO NOT pull or peel them off!)

  • Your eyebrows may feel dry and itchy

  • The areas where the scabs have fallen off may appear lighter in color because most of the scabs will pull some of the pigment with it

    Days 6-12

  • Remaining scabs will continue to peel off randomly. Don’t pick them.

  • The color will look much lighter and the shape will also look thinner. This is called the Ghosting Phase (don’t worry, the color will come back through).

  • The color may look a bit uneven (this is 100% expected and normal and happens to everyone depending on how your skin absorbs the pigment, which is why you get the touchup session), you may use eyebrow makeup or an eyebrow pencil to enhance it until your touchup session, but wait until it has fully peeled before you do so around Day 10.

    Days 13-21

  • Your brow color will gradually darken again as it comes out of the Ghosting Phase.

  • After fully healing, your color result will be 30-50% lighter than it was the day of your initial procedure.
